Over The Years
It hardly seems possible the work of IFC began 14 years ago. It was not in our imagination that we would be serving over 10,000 sick and injured annually. The work has advanced quickly and to this day we have the challenge and blessing of helping those who suffer from HIV/AIDS, T.B. and Leprosy. It is an honor to stand with those who have infectious disease.
In the last 14 years we have brought six children to receive expert medical care in America or Australia. Burn injuries are unfortunately common in this region. Most of the children we have sought help in the west have been severely injured because of a burn injuries.
Now we are building an elementary school near our medical base. We will have the opportunity to give a future to the children who will get a first-class education. The children are taught in English and Indonesian. We currently have 55 children in our care–each one of them are abandoned. The good news is they will have a bright future.
These efforts are worth the challenges because they help provide hope.
